Is it secure so I can communicate sensitive data?
Yes, MedXPro allows your employees to IM over your own
virtual IM network that is 100% secure. Features include text
messaging, local (desktop) archiving, presence, file sharing,
and real-time encryption. This meets HIPAA standards so your
users can text message and file transfer documents over the
Internet securely.
It also allows you to invite non-employees into a secure
IM session, (such as patients or outside specialists) and
engage them using the same methods, except they use their
web browser.
What about Public IM networks like AOL?
We also interface to AOL, Microsoft, and Yahoo public IM services.
So your users can text message to vendors, patients, and associates
over these free public networks.
Unlike free IM, we block everything from these unregulated
networks except for text messaging. This prevents any form
of unauthorized attacks or access to your network, which is
occurring on a regular basis.
Can I use Voice-over-IP during an IM session?
Yes, we allow your employees and even your invited guests
to engage in simple online voice-over-IP and even video services.
This is a push-to-talk VoIP service that's useful for desktop
to desktop communications. While not as useful as our SIP-based
VoIP application, it works well for rapid and ad hoc communications.
Will your VoIP work with other IM networks such as AOL?
Yes, its possible to do so. Just invite them into a conference
and you can engage voice over IP and all other IM enhanced
applications that we offer. We basically convert the conversation
from a public IM conversation to a secure conversation and
then you can push voice services to them.
What is Presence and how do I use it?
Presence tells people your status and in some cases your
location. We provide multiple forms of presence to give MedXPro
users selective control of presence in MedXPro, AOL, Yahoo,
and Microsoft IM networks.
That fine grained control is better because you may want
to be logged into a MedXPro group but not be bothered by contacts
in the AOL community.
